Cindy Heading to Boston Aug 6th for Stem Cell Transplant
This Thursday, August 6th, starts the hardest part of Cindy’s fight against an aggressive form of Leukemia.
She finished her immunotherapy last week and is now heading to Boston to move forward with the stem cell transplant.
Thursday, Cindy will head to Boston Hospital for the procedure. She’ll be there for at least a month, followed by a prolonged period of strict isolation to protect her from germs while her new immune system rebuilds. This will be one of the toughest stretches yet — especially for Cindy, who won’t be able to see the children during most of this time.
